As we're hopefully getting closer to a releasable version of the upcoming B19 update, we're going into public testing again! If all goes well, this testing phase will continue until B19 is release-ready. To this end, the latest B19 version has been pushed to the Squad - Public Testing app, and some of your favorite server hosters are hosting servers in the Custom server browser!
Notable changes:
- Upgraded to UnrealEngine 4.23, various performance improvements (work in progress)
- Mestia, Belaya, and Kokan overhauls
- Added ability to drag wounded soldiers (F while crouching)
- Added nvidia highlights support
- Added ability to shoot down helicopters by destroying the tail rotor
- Decreased helicopter armor to allow penetration of vulnerable components by intermediate-caliber bullets
- Added helicopter altitude cap of approximately 400m
- Updated helicopter unloading/loading ammo & construction supplies, can only be done at 30m or lower altitude. Pilots will now need to be closer to the ground to deliver supplies.
- Increased non-medic revive time
- Updated CO Artillery Damage - 75m radius, 1 impact < 20m lethal for infantry.
- Updated CO Heavy Mortar Damage - 45m radius, 1 impact < 15m lethal for infantry.
- Fixed caches being destroyed by artillery in Destruction and Insurgency modes
- Fixed the Cache no build buffer for Insurgency/Destruction mode - Defenders cannot place deployables within 10m of the Cache.
- Fixed bullets penetrating parts of open top turrets and emplacements, these turrets and emplacements should now be more protected.
